Long Beach State Softball Routs Monmouth

Seniors Julia Lombardi and Jessica Flores led Long Beach State softball to a 9-1 win over Monmouth 9-1 (5 innings) to close out its eight-game homestand with five wins.

Senior Jessica Flores allowed three hits over five innings while striking out four and earning her fourth win in the circle. Lombardi had a home run and a triple.

BOX SCORE

No. 22 LBSU (21-7) will play three games in the LMU Invitational this weekend. The Beach will take on Fairfield and Colgate on Friday before facing host Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
