Millikan and Wilson each made four errors on Tuesday at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field, but the Rams made their defensive miscues with fewer runners on base. A three-base error with the bases loaded in the third inning opened up a big lead for the Rams as part of a 7-4 Moore League win that keeps them in a tie for first place with Lakewood.

“The hits were falling for us today,” Millikan coach Ron Keester said. “And maybe that’s because we’re turning the corner offensively. If we can do that we’ll be a pretty good team.”
After Wilson (13-9-1, 4-3) took a 2-1 lead with a pair of unearned runs in the second inning, Millikan (15-10, 7-1) answered with six runs in the third inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, pinch hitter Wyatt Hall hit a single into center field. The ball got past the center fielder, and Hall came all the way around to score.
“I was happy to come in off of the bench and do a job in that situation,” Hall said. “It was good to bounce back and feel like we played like at team again. Obviously losing to Lakewood wasn’t easy.”
