Wilson is at home for the second straight tonight against San Dimas. The Bruins lost their season opener to Mayfair, and this week of practice has been full of adjustments.
“This is a get-right week for us,” Wilson coach Mark Ziegenhagen said. “We were behind the eight ball early last week and that took us out of our game.”
Wilson is working to solidify its run game, while eliminating some of their two-way players to stay fresh. The Bruins took a big lead in the first half at San Dimas last year, and held on for a 42-35 win.
This is the season opener for San Dimas. The Saints run a single-wing offense with a lot of motion in the backfield, so this will also serve as preparation for Compton’s rushing attack for the Wilson defense. Ziegenhagen also said his team will try a variety of fronts this week.
