Cabrillo hasn’t won a game this year, but the Jaguars showed late flashes of success in losses to both Bellflower and Summit, with a pair of touchdowns in each game.
The Jaguars will host San Pedro tonight at 7 p.m. looking for their first win, taking on a 1-1 Pirates team that owns a 7-6 loss to North Torrance and a lopsided 48-12 win over Van Nuys Grant.
The Pirates run it about twice as much as they throw it, which would be to Cabrillo’s advantage since the Jaguars’ strength has been their line play.
Cabrillo will be at home again next week hosting Compton Centennial.
