The Vikings travel to play Mt. SAC at the Covina District Field at 1 p.m. Saturday in a showdown between two of the state’s best JC programs.
“Whenever LBCC and Mt. SAC play it’s always a big game,” said Vikings coach Brett Peabody after his team’s emphatic win last weekend.
The Vikings (1-0) are hitting the road for the first time this season in an early conference showdown with Mt. SAC. Last season, LBCC scored twice in the fourth quarter to pull out a 27-20 upset at home. Mt. SAC was ranked No. 5 when they fell to LBCC last year, and the Vikings are a top 10 team this season.
