Long Beach State women’s soccer won its first game ever at BYU in a 3-1 comeback on Monday in Provo, Utah. LBSU (5-4-0) got goals from senior Ashley Gonzales, junior Taylor Bistline and sophomore Rola Badawiya in the final 25 minutes.
In the 65th minute senior Dana Fujikuni drew a foul in the box, and Gonzales’ penalty kick goal tied the game. Her 32 career goals are tied for second all-time at LBSU with Nadia Link and Kim Silos.

Bistline scored on a rocket shot from about 25-yards out in the 79th minute, and Badawiya capped the scoring five minutes later.

BYU (4-3-1) opened the scoring in the 54th minute, and outshot The Beach 19-10. LBSU goalkeeper Imani McDonald finished six saves.
LBSU returns to George Allen Field on Saturday at 7 p.m. to take on Loyola Marymount.
