Joe Fryer, Long Beach State Golf
Senior Joe Fryer has already proven himself one of the greatest golfers in Long Beach State history, and last weekend he added to his legacy with a fourth-place finish at the Stockton Pacific Invitational with a -17 on the Tournament. It was his 10th career top five finish, and his round of 65 on day two was tied for his lowest round ever.
Katie Pingel, Long Beach State Soccer
Long Beach State dominated Northridge on Sunday to claim their fifth-ever Big West women’s soccer championship and earn the top seed into this week’s Big West Tournament. Katie Pingel dominated all over the field and also had a beautiful assist on a cross-shot for Ashley Gonzales for the first goal in a 3-1 win.
