The Long Beach State women’s basketball team got a tasty dish of revenge against Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday evening in the opening round of the Big West Tournament. The best news for the Beach was it was still warm, too. After losing to the Titans on a buzzer-beater last week, Long Beach State flipped the tables on Fullerton in the Tournament opener, beating them 60-54.
The win came thanks to 21 points from Shanaijah Davison and 14 from Naomi Hunt, as well as 16 off the bench from Kianna Hamilton-Fisher.
Long Beach State advances to the quarterfinals where they’ll face UC Riverside on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at UC Irvine. The team split its games against Riverside this season, with each team winning the road game.
