Coming off a disappointing loss to San Diego last week, Long Beach State club men’s lacrosse rebounded on Wednesday night to win their last home game of the season 19-12 over Western Washington.
Long Beach State got goals from Cameron Yerzyk [6], Dean Grau [4], Julian Loe [3], Christian Apanecatl [2], Emmett Janczak [2] and Deven De Leon [1].
Western Washington was led by Spencer Olson [3], Benjamin Cole [3], Zachary Kalousis [1], Cayden Robb [1], Beau Bodner [1], Nick Harvey [1], and Zachary Van Horn [1].
LBSU led 9-1 at halftime, and the Beach continued to dominate in the second half. Goalie Jackson Browner had a total of 17 saves in net.
LBSU travels to Biola this Saturday at 3 p.m., Loyola Marymount on April 5th at 7 p.m., UC San Diego on April 6th at 2 p.m. and UC Irvine on April 10th at 7:30 p.m.
In other local lacrosse news, Wilson High wasn’t able to bounce back from a loss to rival Long Beach Poly, and fell to the Dynamiters of Glendale 10-4 on Monday.
