The Long Beach Poly boys’ tennis team took a huge step towards their fourth consecutive Moore League title on Thursday by beating Wilson 10-8.
Defending singles champion Darren Hall clinched the tenth point and the match with a 7-5 win in his last set.
Poly junior Arkin Verma swept 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 2 singles, and the top doubles team of sophomores Kim Phy and Ryan Nguyen also swept 6-1, 6-3, 6-3.
There are five league match days left before the doubles and singles finals at Billie Jean King Courts on April 18.
