The top six finishers in the 2019 Moore League boys’ golf individual tournament are all from Wilson, and Brandon Bennett is the best of them. The senior won the four-day, 72-hole tournament by five strokes over teammate Spencer Johnson on Thursday at Recreation Park Golf Course.
Bennett shot an even par 72 in the second round at El Dorado Golf Course, and then shot one-under par 71 at Skylinks in the third round to take an eight stroke lead. The senior shot a 77 at Recreation Park.
This is the 27th time a Wilson Bruin has won the Moore League boys’ golf individual title.
Bennett shoots 74 in the CIF-SS Southern Individual Regional on Monday at Skylinks and survived and 11-man playoff to advance to the CIF Individual Finals next week.
