The St. Anthony Saints will have a long bus ride to think about getting revenge at Palm Springs tonight. Kickoff is scheduled for 7.
Last year, St. Anthony saw a game-winning field goal attempt sail wide in a 28-26 loss to Palm Springs at Clark Field.
Palm Springs (0-2) dropped its first two games on the road in high scoring affairs. Junior quarterback Isaiah Goad threw for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 44-34 loss to Desert Vista.
St. Anthony split its first two games at Clark Field against Valley Christian and Warren. Coach Mario Morales said that his Saints have a good challenge ahead of them.
“They’re tough overall with big lineman and good linebackers,” Morales said of Palm Springs.
