The Wilson Bruins didn’t miss a beat during a 46-6 Moore League victory at Cabrillo on Friday night.
Wilson (6-0, 2-0) is off to one of its best starts in program history and hosts Long Beach Poly in the highly anticipated rivalry next week. Cabrillo (1-5, 0-2) is on a five-game losing streak.
It didn’t take long for the Bruins to get on the scoreboard as Ryan Pettway found Nick Timko for an early score, Soloman Bowie returned a punt 45 yards for a touchdown and Pettway threw another touchdown pass for a 19-0 lead just seven minutes into the contest.
Pettway tossed two more touchdowns and Dillion Harris got back into the end zone to make it 39-0 in the third quarter before the starters were replaced.
