A brave group of Stanford Middle School teachers and principals are going to face off against the famous Harlem Wizards basketball team on Nov. 10 to raise funders for student programs and field trips. The fun and games start at 2 p.m. at the Wilson High gym.
The Harlem Wizards were formed in 1962 as a traveling show of basketball tricks. Much like the Harlem Globetrotters, they’re not interested in winning the game because they’re too busy entertaining the crowd with alley oops. Although, they might be able to beat the Stanford teachers while still putting on a show.
