After dominating the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 7 playoffs last week, Wilson is on the road tonight for the quarterfinals at West Ranch. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 at Valencia High School.
The Bruins (10-1) are in the midst of their most successful seasons in school history, and are the No. 2 seed on the bracket.
West Ranch (9-2) is having similar success with its second consecutive nine-win season. The Wildcats finished tied for second in the Foothill League thanks to a potent offense that’s averaging over 40 points per game.
“They look really disciplined and are a well coached team,” Wilson coach Mark Ziegenhagen said of West Ranch.
Both teams run a spread offense that’s designed to get the ball out of the backfield quickly, but Wilson will have the size and speed advantage.
