There’s no secret that the best high school sport in Long Beach for the last several years has been track and field. Last year saw individual CIF-SS or state champions at Long Beach Poly, Wilson, Millikan and St. Anthony, and we’re expecting enormous things from the high school kids in Long Beach this year.
Wilson’s Rachel Glenn is entering her senior year shooting for national records and state titles in multiple events, while Poly’s Jade McDonald will also compete for state titles in several events. The Bruins and Jackrabbits will be in the mix for CIF-SS and State team titles this year, and we expect their March 17 Moore League meeting to be the best assemblage of talent anywhere in America for a league dual meet.
