Fresh off a 26-4 overall season and a second-place finish in the league, Millikan coach Lorene Morgan said her team was elated to find out they could have a season this year.
“We are all excited to get some games in finally and get back in the gym,” she said. “The team even seems excited to condition–we’ll see how long that lasts.”
The centerpiece for the Rams is junior post player Alison Crawford, a legitimate offensive and defensive threat in the paint and a player Morgan expects to be a matchup nightmare in the height-challenged Moore League.
The Rams are also deep at guard with senior Kyle Ishibashi and junior Amy Walker. Backing up Crawford, Morgan expects sophomore Siyanda Salter to take a big step forward this year as the team’s other post.
