Wilson’s Jack Eckenrode and Diego Orozco combined to pitch a 10-0 mercy rule shutout at Mayfair on Thursday in non-league play.
The Bruins (3-7, 1-0) scored nine runs in the second inning as John Lanterman, Damian Del Nero, Joe McGrath, DJ Erkman, Charlie Royle, and AJ Castano each had RBIs in the frame. Lanterman’s RBI came on a home run.
Eckenrode gave up one hit over three innings with no walks and six strikeouts. Orozco threw two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Wilson finished with 13 hits in five innings as Nathan Gomez-Gardenswartz, Del Nero, Erkman, McGrath, and Castano each had multiple hits.
Wilson visits Compton today at 3 p.m.
