Long Beach Poly improved to 2-0 early on in the boys’ lacrosse season thanks to a 12-4 win over the visiting Wilson Bruins on Monday afternoon. The Jackrabbits have now beaten both of their league rivals so far this season (including a 9-6 win over Millikan last week), while Wilson will get their chance at the Rams next Monday.
Poly was led by four goals apiece from Christopher Nolan O’Brien and Griffin Jeannette, while Je’Shawn Walker added a pair of goals as well. Senior goalie Kyle Johnson made five saves and Canon Carillo and Gavin Cuellar each chipped in a goal to round out the scoring. Poly will host a rematch with Millikan on Friday at 4 p.m.
