The historic season for the Millikan boys’ tennis team could come to a storybook ending this Friday, when the Rams will host Mark Keppel at 3 p.m. on the campus courts for the CIF-SS Division 4 championship.
The Rams defeated Oxford Academy 11-7 in the semifinals on Wednesday to advance to the championship, in their first close match of the playoffs. Millikan had a first-round bye and then won 16-2 and 16-2 in the second round and quarterfinals. The Rams, who are the top seed in Division 4, will take on a Keppel team that has yet to lose this year, with an undefeated 12-0 record.
