Cabrillo is back on the West Side again tonight hosting Glenn from Norwalk. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Glenn (1-0) won its only game of the season last week 40-8 over Firebaugh. The Eagles won the 605 League title in 2019 and also beat Cabrillo 28-13 that season.
Cabrillo coach Shane Gonzalez said it was hard to get a read off the Firebaugh game film because Glenn was up by about 30 points in the first quarter. He did say that the Eagles are more disciplined than the teams Cabrillo has played, but they’re not as fast as Hawkins and Jefferson.
Gonzalez added that he’s been getting more kids coming out for football at Cabrillo this week, and he hopes that can bolster the ranks and make for better practice reps.
Cabrillo (0-2) is looking for its first win since Oct. 18, 2019.
