The St. Anthony Saints earned the right to host a first round CIF Southern Section Division 10 playoff game tonight, but they won’t be able to play at Clark Field where they broke ground on a new athletic facility on Thursday.
That’s nothing new for the Saints who’ve played all of their home games at St. Pius X/St. Matthias Academy this season, but the Warriors are hosting a playoff game of their own tonight. Instead, St. Anthony will host its first round matchup against Schurr at St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
St. Anthony (6-4, 3-1) finished second in the Del Rey League and won its regular season finale to clinch the playoff spot.
Schurr (7-3, 5-0) dominated the Almont League and won its first league championship since 2017.
