Entering the spring season, The562.org is pleased to announce our latest sport-specific sponsor. P2S, Inc. has stepped up to sponsor all of The562’s coverage of the Long Beach State Dirtbags baseball program this season.
P2S, Inc. is an engineering, commissioning, and construction management firm that’s headquartered right here in Long Beach, with five additional offices along the west coast. P2S has strong ties to Long Beach, and has worked on numerous projects throughout the community, including at the Port of Long Beach, CSULB, the Long Beach Civic Center and more. In addition, many of the engineers at P2S are former CSULB engineering students brought into the company via their internship program.
Most recently, P2S was involved in the design phase for the installation of the new LED lighting around Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. Fans will get an up-close look at P2S’s work both in person at the ballpark, and in The562’s coverage of the Dirtbags throughout the season.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with another local business that’s rooted in the Long Beach community,” said The562’s publisher Andy Kerr. “With their work on the upgrades to Bohl Diamond at Blair Field and their connection to the university, P2S is a perfect fit to support our coverage of Dirtbags Baseball this season. We’re looking forward to an exciting season and are grateful to have P2S’s sponsorship.”
Long Beach State is anticipating a successful baseball season in 2022, with a number of talented players returning to the roster. The Dirtbags were recently chosen as the preseason favorites in the Big West Conference according to a poll of all the league’s coaches. LBSU will open the 2022 season this weekend at No. 3 Mississippi State, with the home opener scheduled for Friday, Feb. 25, against Sacramento State.
P2S, Inc. is the latest local business to sponsor The562’s award-winning local sports coverage. Previous sponsors include Bryson Financial sponsoring this year’s cross country coverage and Aqualand sponsoring water polo.
As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. If you’re interested in sponsoring The562’s coverage, email Tyler@The562.org or visit our Support page to get involved. Any donation made to The562 is fully tax-deductible.
