Humberto Tene, Millikan Baseball
Myles Patton threw 7.2 innings of scoreless baseball in Millikan’s thrilling 1-0 extra-inning win over Lakewood last week. Humberto Tene got to play the game’s final hero with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Rams the win.
Angie Membrano, Wilson Lacrosse
Wilson’s Angie Membrano led the Bruins to a dominant 13-2 win over Poly last week. Membrano had five goals for Wilson in the victory.
Madeleine Mendoza, Lakewood Softball
Lakewood’s win over Poly last week keeps the Lancers in the title hunt. Center fielder Madeleine Mendoza had a big day at the plate with three hits, two triples, two RBIs, and three runs in the victory.
Ava Schaffel, Millikan Softball
Ava Schaffel had the best start of her high school career last week against Wilson, racking up a lifetime-best 14 strikeouts in a no-hitter for Millikan. The Rams won 2-0 and remain atop the Moore League standings.

Isaac Rodea, Long Beach State Golf
Isaac Rodea won the Wyoming Cowboy Classic as he shot 65-69-69 for a 203 13-under par en route to his first individual medal. His first round score of 65 tied the LBSU record for best first round score in program history.
