The Millikan Rams dominated visiting Crescenta Valley 6-1 in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs on Thursday.
Millikan sophomore pitcher Ava Schaffel tossed a complete game while giving up four hits and striking out 12 batters.
Offensively, Millikan was led by Mikaela Pacheco who hit a two-run home run and also had a double and a walk. Katie Knarr and Arianna Ramirez also hit a home runs. Camila Lara chipped in an RBI double.
Millikan will host La Habra in the second round on Tuesday.
