St. Anthony has its home opener on Friday night as the Saints host Mayfair at St. Pius X – St. Matthias High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Last week, the Saints had a tough loss to San Pedro, while Mayfair lost to Huntington Beach in a one-score contest.
When these two teams met last year, the Monsoon won 37-20. Mayfair is coming off a 9-1 season that ended with a first-round loss in the Division 6 playoffs.
St. Anthony has a young roster that’s looking to get more experience before Del Rey League play begins.
