The562 is pleased to announce that our coverage of high school volleyball for the 2022-23 school year will be sponsored by Long Beach State legend and three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor.
May-Treanor is one of the greatest volleyball players of all time and has been a steadfast supporter of the sport after retiring from playing, coaching at LBCC and hosting well-attended camps across the country. The sponsorship is from May-Treanor and her Dream in Gold Foundation.
“Misty is an icon in her sport and in the Long Beach sports world, and her support means so much to us,” said the562.org publisher Andy Kerr. “It’s fitting that our high school volleyball coverage will be sponsored by one of the best ever and I hope that the athletes we cover this year appreciate how special it is to have someone like Misty sponsoring the coverage.”
The sponsorship will support The562’s volleyball coverage with articles, photos, videos, feature stories, and more.
“Mike, JJ, and Tyler have been big supporters of mine and I’m happy to help them continue to support young athletes in Long Beach,” said May-Treanor.
As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. Visit our “562 100” page to see a list of our existing sponsors.
