In a rematch of their CIF Southern Section semifinal last year, Long Beach Poly beat Portola 14-11 at home on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits are currently ranked No. 9 in the Division 2 poll.
Reece Hammond led Poly with four goals while Luke Cassiano chipped in a hat trick. Emerson LaPorta also scored three goals with five steals on defense. Kyle Oate also had five steals to go with two assists.
