Poly linebacker Joshua “Noodles” Cason helped lead the Jackrabbits to a fourth consecutive shutout last Friday as they beat Compton 56-0. Cason had five tackles and also had a recovered fumble which he scored for a touchdown.
Rahkeen Moore, Lakewood Football
Lakewood DT Rahkeen Moore led a dominant defensive effort for the Red Swarm in a shutout win at Wilson, which puts the Lancers back in the playoff hunt needing just one more win to get into the postseason.
JJ Nielsen, Jordan Football
Jordan quarterback JJ Nielsen put up six touchdowns in a win for the Panthers over Cabrillo, their sixth of the season, giving them a plus-.500 record which increases their chances of an at-large playoff bid.
Allanah Smith, Wilson Volleyball
Wilson senior Allanah Smith had a pair of big matches for Wilson in two playoff wins last week, including 18 kills and three aces in a second-round win over Serrano to put the Bruins into this week’s quarterfinals.
Alyson Sor, Wilson Golf
Wilson’s Alyson Sor won her third Moore League girls’ golf title last week, tying the overall low score record in Moore League history. Sor shot a 36-hole score of 135 to tie Ali Morallos’ record.

Dylan Dela Cruz, Long Beach State Volleyball
Dylan Dela Cruz continued her outstanding efforts in the back row with 6.11 digs per set. Dela Cruz turned in a 32-dig showing at UC Riverside, marking her second 30-plus dig performance in a week.
