Today is a very important day for Moore League boys’ soccer as the schedule wraps up before the holiday break. It will be their third or fourth league game of the season for most teams, and the results will go a long way in deciding who is on the top half of the league standings when everyone returns on Monday, Jan. 9.
TODAY’S SCHEDULE
Millikan @ Long Beach Poly, 7 p.m.
The Rams (7-2-1, 2-0-0) are alone in first place after beating Cabrillo and Wilson at home, so this will be their first big road test. The Jackrabbits (2-3-3, 1-1-0) is off to a slow start but looked good in a recent win over Jordan.
Cabrillo @ Wilson, 6 p.m.
The Bruins (3-5-2, 1-1-1) are in fifth place in the league standings after a last-minute loss at Millikan this week. Cabrillo (9-2-1, 2-1) is currently third in league and can leapfrog idle Lakewood with a win.
Compton @ Jordan, 4 p.m.
These two teams are at the bottom of the standings so one of them will walk into 2023 with their first league points after this game.
