Cabrillo boys’ soccer picked up a key 4-1 Moore League win at Wilson on Wednesday night.
The Jaguars (10-2-1, 3-1-0) are the first Long Beach team to win 10 games and are now first place in the league standings before the holiday break.
Senior Martin Robles Ruiz scored a penalty kick for Cabrillo in the eighth minute before teammate Nathan Mosqueda doubled the lead two minutes later.
Wilson (3-6-2, 1-2-1) scored before halftime, but Cabrillo answered with goals in the 45th and 50th minutes from sophomore Javier Palomares. Junior Duane Baker had a pair of assists and earned the early PK.
“This team is special,” Cabrillo coach Pat Noyes said.
