Long Beach Poly defeated Millikan in a boys’ water polo game that likely decided second place in the Moore League, behind perennial champion Wilson. The Jackrabbits (Division 4) and Rams (Division 3) are both ranked in their respective CIF Southern Section divisions and will have strong chances to make a deep playoff run.
Poly won the game 8-4 and were led by two goals apiece from Reece Hammond, Chaz Pruett, and Colin Soohoo. Hammond added four assists and four steals in the win.
