Long Beach is sending four girls’ soccer teams to the CIF Southern Section playoffs this week. The brackets were released this morning, and the first round is Saturday. Most games will be played at 3 p.m. or 5 p.m.
Division 1
Millikan (18-3-2) and Long Beach Poly (11-5-2) are on the opposite side of the bracket. The Rams are the No. 2 team out of the Moore League and host El Dorado at 1 p.m.
El Dorado (6-12-6) is also a No. 2 team out of the Crestview League. The Golden Hawks only have one win it their last six games.
The Jackrabbits finished third in league and visit Baseline League champions Etiwanda on Saturday. The Eagles (17-2-2) haven’t lost a game since December.
Division 2
Moore League champion Wilson (13-6-4) and Lakewood (7-8-0) are both in the top half of the bracket.
The Bruins host Flintridge Sacred Heart (4-7-3) on Saturday evening. The Tologs only picked up one Mission League win while finishing third.
The Lancers travel to Bay League champion Redondo Union. The Sea Hawks (13-1) are averaging almost five goals a game this season.
