Long Beach State women’s tennis (6-6) was edged by Purdue 4-3 on Saturday at Rhodes Tennis Center. LBSU senior Lena Pacholski and freshman Sadaf Sadeghvaziri earned the lone win in doubles action. The Wilson boys’ lacrosse team took an early lead and held off Tustin in an 8-3 win at home on Friday. Sophomore Charley Littleworth scored a hat trick, and sophomore Goalie John Legaspi made 19 saves. Senior Malachi Valenzuela-Mier scored twice. Wilson (5-0) takes on Long Beach Poly at Cabrillo next Friday.
