Jordan girls’ soccer picked up its first Moore League win of the year on Tuesday at Cabrillo. Senior captain Cynthia Rosales converted a first-half penalty kick that held up for the Panthers (2-3, 1-1) on the road. Jordan goalkeeper Tatiana Hernandez-Perez made six saves for the clean sheet.
We’ve got everything you need to know about the upcoming Moore League wrestling season. Millikan Lakewood LB Poly Wilson Cabrillo Jordan/Compton Jordan and Compton will be traversing the league schedule together again this season. Compton 17-year coach Randy Harrell said junior Noel Villanueva and senior Sunshine Padilla will be his best wrestlers.
The Cabrillo wrestling program is hoping that junior team captain Victor Lonbera (126) can make some noise and set the tone for the Jaguars program to keep improving under coach Keedrick Gardner. Gardner also noted that Markus Scruggs (120) is an important newcomer. Cabrillo has never won an individual league championship.
